Sometime around the summer of 2022 my wife Karen was put in contact with Maricruz and her associate Robert for the purpose of finding a new home in the Austin area. I was not in condition to travel at my age, so I left the homebuying experience to Karen. There was a connection between the two women, because Maricruz was very understanding and receptive to what Karen was specifically looking for. Maricruz listened carefully to Karen’s ideas and features she wanted regarding the home itself, the type of neighborhood, and the general area. As a result, Karen spent her limited time on the initial household hunting trip looking at homes very much in line with what she was looking for. Karen was only shown homes with the preferences she expressed to Maricruz. No pressure whatsoever, no wasted time, no sales song and dance of any type. Early on, we decided on a new home instead of an existing one. Maricruz drove Karen into a number of neighborhoods, until Karen found one or two that she really thought had potential. Then it was a matter of finding a builder and a model that Karen liked. Maricruz was patient, and together they saw a number of them. Eventually, Karen decided on a home under construction in Turner’s Crossing, a new development outside Buda. Negotiations with the builder were handled expertly and to our satisfaction by Maricruz, who kept us in the loop every step of the way after Karen returned to Toledo while the house was under construction. All legal documents were handled online through the entire homebuilding process and financial arrangements, with Maricruz explaining details and helping. We closed in May, 2023. As nerve-wracking as it was going through the homebuying process from several states away, Maricruz and Robert put us at ease every time we had questions or concerns about anything at all regarding the big investment we were making. They were a joy to work with. Consequently, we are in a home with which we are extremely happy in a location that is ideal for us. We couldn’t be happier in our twilight years.
